McMaster University Instructor Munaza Jamil Appointed to ACRP Canada Executive Board
McMaster University Continuing Education (MCE) is congratulating Munaza Jamil for being appointed to the Executive Board of the Association of Clinical Research Professionals (ACRP) Canada. According to the below press release in June 2024 from MCE Program Director, Kathleen Geelen:
Munaza also chairs the N2 Public Engagement Committee, where she champions many EDI initiatives. In May Munaza spoke at the Annual Conference for ACRP: Enhancing Diversity in Clinical Trials: Canada's Promise - ACRP (acrpnet.org). She is also an active collaborator and mentor with IMPaCT trials, a CIHR-funded Clinical Trials Training Platform and sits on the Joint Task Force for Clinical Trials Competency at the MRCT Center at Harvard, which has defined the core competency framework for clinical research professionals globally.
Munaza has been instructing in the Applied Clinical Research (ACR) Program since 2018, she thoroughly enjoys teaching, and strives to create a culture of learning within the virtual classroom. Her students are encouraged to take risks in the discussion, feel confident starting conversations, and drive their own learning. With our instructional designer, Munaza has also provided subject matter expertise in many of the courses in the ACR program. She is also an active member representing McMaster with the Consortium of Academic Programs in Clinical Research (CoAPCR).
We are thrilled that she has been selected by ACRP as an executive board member and wish her continued success in her career.
