Keynote Speaker for the 2025 Annual Meeting

CoAPCR is excited to announce that Cherié Butts, PhD will be the Keynote Speaker at the 2025 Annual Meeting. Dr. Butts is the Senior Medical Director (West Coast) at Biogen. Since joining Biogen in 2012 she has held numerous roles including being the clinical lead for Plegridy IM (peginterferon beta-1a, now approved for multiple sclerosis in the US and EU). Prior to Biogen, she conducted research on neuroendocrine regulation of immune responses and served as a FDA reviewer for new drug applications. She earned degrees from The Johns Hopkins University (BA, MS) and UT MD Anderson Cancer Center (PhD) and completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the National Institutes of Health. Dr. Butts is passionate about highlighting the interconnectedness of biomedical research across academia, government, and industry.
